For architects

Structure That Serves the Drawing.

The best structural outcome usually comes from being in the conversation while the scheme is still moving. Engaged early, most structural constraints become design decisions rather than compromises.

Render and structure

The Building You Drew, and the Frame That Holds It Up.

Every cantilever, glass corner and floating slab in a scheme is carried by a structure the render does not show.

Drag across the image to see the structure.

A contemporary two-storey home on a sloping garden site, its timber-clad wing and concrete upper floor cantilevered over lit stone stairs
Structure gets engaged too late and forces a redesign.

Bring us in during design development and the conversation is about whether a span works, not about which wall has to move. Early feasibility advice on spans, cantilevers and openings costs very little and routinely saves a redesign.

The engineering fights the design intent instead of supporting it.

Where a member can be hidden, we look for the arrangement that hides it. Where it can't, we tell you early enough that it can be expressed deliberately rather than discovered on site.

Structural documentation doesn't coordinate with the architectural set.

We work to your sheet conventions and reference your drawing numbers, so the sets read as one package rather than two.

RFI responses arrive too slowly to hold the program.

RFIs are logged against the job and answered by the engineer who did the design. You get a response and a record of it, not a phone call nobody wrote down.

Consultant coordination falls to you by default.

We'll talk directly to the surveyor, the soil tester and the certifier where it's faster than routing everything through your office, and copy you on the outcome.

You need to know what a site can carry before you commit to a scheme.

Site classification and ground investigation are part of what we do, so the constraint that shapes the footings can be established before the scheme is fixed rather than after.

Collaboration

How the Process Runs Alongside Yours.

Concept & Feasibility

A short review of spans, cantilevers, openings and likely footing implications, before the scheme is fixed.

Design Development

Member sizes and structural arrangement developed against your plans as they evolve, so changes are absorbed rather than reworked.

Documentation

Structural set coordinated to your sheet numbering, internally reviewed, and issued for consent.

Construction

RFIs answered by the design engineer and logged against the job, with site inspections available through the same file.
